Web maintenance: real prices in 2026 and what each plan includes

26 July 2026·6 min

How much web maintenance costs in Spain, which services are essential and how not to overpay for something you do not need.

One of the most frequent questions we receive from businesses wanting to hire web maintenance is: how much should I pay? The honest answer is: it depends — but there are clear ranges depending on the type of website and what you actually need.

Why web maintenance prices vary so much

A personal WordPress blog with 10 posts and no shop needs very little maintenance. A WooCommerce store with 500 products, real payments and daily traffic needs much more. The price varies because the risk and work involved are completely different.

Real price ranges in Spain in 2026

Basic corporate website (WordPress, no shop): €30-80/month. Includes core and plugin updates, automatic backups, uptime monitoring and SSL certificate.

Corporate website with active blog or advanced forms: €80-150/month. Adds monthly performance review, form checks and incident management with 24-48h business day response.

WooCommerce or custom Shopify store: €150-400/month. E-commerce requires more attention: payment gateway updates, purchase flow testing after each update, and shorter response times (4-8h) because every hour down means lost sales.

Custom Next.js / headless site: €100-300/month. Fewer plugins to maintain, but requires specific technical knowledge to manage deployments and stack updates.

What to ask before hiring

How often are updates done? Are backups tested with periodic restorations? What is the guaranteed response time if the site goes down? Do I have full access to all systems at all times?
